Carolyn Brooks works from her studio in Queanbeyan NSW on a broad spectrum of artistic projects. Coming from a long career as an illustrator/designer, she is now focused on portraiture and painting, still employing her illustration and design skills to promote various environmental organisations. She has worked in design studios and as a freelance illustrator in Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. and has taught illustration to tertiary level design students.
As an illustrator, Carolyn has developed various dry-medium styles including Charcoal, Conte, Pastel, Scraperboard, Pen & Ink, Digital, Coloured Pencil, Wax Crayon, Oil Pastel, plus Acrylic, Oil and Mixed Media.
